Babies are protected by gut bacteria!

Children inherently possess a strong natural healing ability.

Especially right after birth, the immune system is very active, and babies around six months old

I believe you are aware that we rarely contract infections that resemble actual infectious diseases.

Until now, babies have received antibodies known as immunoglobulins from their mothers,

It usually lasts about six months. After that, you need to expose yourself to various diseases to build up antibodies.

It has been said that way.

However, recently, it turns out that it's not the power of those antibodies,

RatherThe power of gut bacteria protects babieshas come to be said.

For example, there are differences between babies born via cesarean section and those born through vaginal delivery.

Babies born via cesarean section have a higher rate of infections and allergic diseases during early childhood.

It is understood that.

The reason for this difference is that,

During vaginal delivery, the baby passes through the mother's birth canal.

You come into the world covered in the gut bacteria from your mother's birth canal..

This is also done quite well,When the baby is about to be born,

The types of gut bacteria in the mother's birth canal change, resulting in a composition of bacteria that is suitable for the baby..

This is truly amazing.

This is why vaginal delivery allows for the development of gut bacteria relatively early in life.

However, with a cesarean section, there is less exposure to bacteria at the time of birth.

So what does the baby do? When breastfeeding, it comes into contact with the mother's skin.

By incorporating bacteria, sucking on fingers, or licking various objects around them, they engage in a variety of activities.

This is how we introduce bacteria. That's why it's important to suck on fingers and lick various things.

In the past, when breastfeeding, it was important to keep everything clean around the breasts.

I was wiping with alcohol, but it's better not to do that.

By drinking it as is, you are incorporating the bacteria.

It's concerning to let a baby taste alcohol, isn't it?

A couple of American bacteriologists wrote in their book that the wife had to undergo a cesarean section to give birth,

When I was born, my father wiped the mother's vaginal secretions and rubbed them onto the baby's skin.

I am sharing this as a personal experience.

This means that babies are protected by gut bacteria.

There are some benefits to Helicobacter pylori

Recently, there was an article on the front page of a newspaper discussing the testing of middle school students for Helicobacter pylori.

While Helicobacter pylori is often considered harmful, it actually has some beneficial aspects.

I believe it is particularly beneficial for children.

About 5% of children today carry Helicobacter pylori.

Only about 5 out of 100 people carry Helicobacter pylori.

By the time people reach their 70s, about 60-70% are likely to carry Helicobacter pylori.

Those who want to eradicate it say they want to reduce this small 5% to zero.

An American researcher named Martin Blaser, who has been studying Helicobacter pylori,

It is said that it is a serious matter if Helicobacter pylori is eliminated.

Helicobacter pylori is a type of bacteria that has been present in our bodies for at least 100,000 years.

There must be some benefit to having bacteria around for that long..

Helicobacter pylori has both good and bad aspects, but the bad aspects were discovered first,

They say that the good things are no longer being mentioned.

Doctors profit from eradicating Helicobacter pylori,

It has become unspoken that there are downsides to removal.

That being said,Until now, regarding bacteria, there has been a focus on pathogenic bacteria that cause diseases.

Although various studies have been conducted, we had very little knowledge about beneficial bacteria.

That can happen.

If we could see bacteria, it would be as if the surface of the Earth were covered in them.

It is said that there are as many as the total number of stars in the universe.

You may not have a clear idea, but there are countless bacteria present,

That tiny fraction is the pathogen.

For example, the surface of a desk is covered in bacteria, but you won't get sick from licking it. That's because there are no pathogens present.
